The Ultimate Solution for Deliverence.

Verses: 1 Samuel 7:3-4

"Then Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying, 'If you return to the Lord with all your hearts, then put away the foreign gods and the Ashtoreths from among you, and prepare your hearts for the Lord, and serve Him only; and He will deliver you from the hand of the Philistines.' So the children of Israel put away the Baals and the Ashtoreths, and served the Lord only."

The remedy for salvation given in the above verses is clear: serve only the Lord and remove other gods. This is the solution that the Israelites were given to be saved from their enemies, the Philistines. And when they obeyed this command, they got victory. But who is the Lord that they were asked to turn back to? Is He like the gods that they were asked to remove? No, He is the presence that had guided them thus far, the presence that had intervened in their lives without any hint of dissonance and doubt.

This presence is the Ultimate power in the whole universe, the utmost top being or reality in totality. He is the God of the whole universe, the one who is above all gods. Want to be saved in life? Look to this presence, the one who is the Ultimate solution for salvation. There is no other option left besides. The testimonies of millions ratify that it is the working solution.

When we serve only the Lord and remove other gods, we are acknowledging His sovereignty over our lives. We are recognizing that He is the one who is in control, and that we are subject to His will. This is the key to salvation, the key to victory over our enemies. When we surrender our lives to the Lord, He will deliver us from the hand of our enemies, and we will experience victory in our lives.

Prayer:

Dear God, we thank you for the reminder that serving you only is the ultimate solution for salvation. Help us to recognize the presence of other gods in our lives and to remove them. Give us the courage to surrender our lives to you, and to acknowledge your sovereignty over our lives. May we experience victory in our lives, and may we be delivered from the hand of our enemies. Amen.
