The Majesty of God's Anointed Ones

Verses:Exodus 31:1-11.

"1 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 2 "See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. 3 And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, 4 to design artistic works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze, 5 in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of artistic workmanship. 6 And I, indeed I, have appointed with him Aholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and I have given wisdom in the hearts of all who are gifted artisans, that they may make all that I have commanded you: 7 the tabernacle of meeting, the ark of the Testimony and the mercy seat that is on it, and all the furniture of the tabernacle."

The mercy seat, where God's presence dwelled among Israel, was crafted by human hands – hands anointed and called by God Himself. This profound truth echoes through eternity: God chooses ordinary humans for extraordinary purposes. He could have spoken the mercy seat into existence with a single word, yet He opted to partner with Bezalel, Aholiab, and their team.

This divine decision underscores our value as anointed and called ones. God's selection process is not random; it's a demonstration of His divine precision and planning. He doesn't call the valueless; instead, He recognizes and affirms our inherent, permanent, and eternal position as His anointed ones – a status that surpasses the majesty of angels.

No servant of God has fully grasped the majesty of their ministry. God's anointed ones are recognized and valued even before they are born, as Jeremiah 1:5 reminds us, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you as a prophet to the nations." This knowledge transforms our understanding of self-worth and purpose.

Our existence is not accidental; it's divine. Our purpose is not self-defined; it's God-ordained. Our identity is rooted in our eternal connection to Him. Every detail, every skill, and every act of obedience proclaims God's glory.

God's heart beats for His anointed servants, empowering them to fulfill His purposes. He delights in their faithfulness, their skill, and their devotion. As we ponder the majesty of God's anointed ones, we're reminded that our lives are intertwined with God's.

You are handpicked by God for a specific purpose, infused with divine wisdom, and your life is a testament to God's majesty.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for knowing and loving us before birth.

Thank You for calling and anointing us for Your purposes.

May our lives reflect Your glory.

May our skills be instruments of Your divine plan.

May our hearts beat in harmony with Yours.

May we comprehend the majesty of our calling.

May our existence bring joy to Your heart.

Amen.
